Every woman I know has had to fight for something they believed in: love, children, human rights, survival, but being a warrior woman is so much more than fighting.

Being a Warrior Woman means you:

Love hard
Live with an open heart
Trust others
Are protective of what matters
Strive to be a role model
Know the world is perfect, but do you best to create excellence around you.
Have a sense of humor
Don’t take themselves too seriously

Every woman has a warrior within. She is strong, bold and brilliant. She loves the power of women together, fighting the good fight. She is strong without a doubt, and does not believe in being a victim. What’s amazing to me is that Warrior Women forget to share their stories! They are what made us, isn’t that true?

I bet if you are a Warrior Woman, you are thinking, “Oh, yes Ann I do have a story, I would not be who I am without it!” Your stories can heal others, can connect hearts, and never forget that. I once did, and a friend said to me: “Ann they don’t know your story, you need to share it. That’s how they will understand why you are who you are now. And you can help them by sharing it.”

Powerful, life changing words. And the story does not have to be some major traumatic thing – just everyday lessons you learned in life! Do you realize you have a story to connect women all over the world?

The Love Affair with Wine: It's just so Sexy!

I have a love affair with wine. Yes just like a love affair with another lover! I look forward to when we meet. I am intrigued by its intensity; it’s smell; how beautiful it is. I am excited by the taste, the smell, the look, the tfeel and the adventure. If you love wine as much as I do - it's a daily staple, ritual, love affair. So what did you drink last night? An old friend? A new lover?

A love affair awakens your senses, your creativity, your ENERGY.

For some of you this might be over the top! But think about it. Shouldn’t we feel this way about more things in life?

Wouldn’t it be great to have a love affair with:
•    Your spouse
•    What you cook
•    Bathing
•    Exercising
•    Your kids

Do you have a love affair? Does it awaken your senses and bring passion to your life?

Reality Check - or is it just Your Programming?

What are the 2 most powerful words we can say to our self? I AM. "I am" programs our current state of being. Whether in the negative or the positive, it sets up our body to experience what we are saying. Think about it. Did you wake up and say to yourself; “I am so tired,” or “I am refreshed and ready for the day.”?

Sometimes without even realizing it, we can be our own worst critics and say things that our body then believes.

Do you say:

“I’m fat” or “I’m a lean, mean machine!”

“I’m broke” or “I’m attracting everything I need and more.”

What I have realized is that this oftens happens at an unconscious level. I have to:
1-stop - think consciously about what I have been thinking about
2-change it right then and there
3-feel the new I am statement in my body for a reality check

Brian Tracy says we need to "release the brakes!"

Straight From Your Heart - 4 Tips to Share Your Story

I know, this seems like a strange post, but I have had many women express interest in submitting for the first Warrior Women, Wine and Wisdom Books and thought it could be helpful. For me your submission isn't about perfection, it's about discovering that you have a story to share that will engage other womens hearts!

Tip #1: A well developed outline helps you keep your ideas organized and focused. Think of your outline as the framework for the chapter you are writing. It need not be complicated or long. After all, 1000 words constitutes a submission. Use your chapter outline to organize the plot line of your story and any specific details that may be required. The idea of writing need not be the tedious job that many think it is. Also starting with your "lesson or wisdom" in mind first can make the job much easier and far more successful. Remember too - all stories do not have to be sad or depressing to be wonderful to share with others!

TIP #2: Write your first draft very quickly. DON'T make any edits. Just write. Resist the urge to go back and correct spelling mistakes. Doing this will break your flow. So just write. If you're anything like me - your first draft will look awful! But this is normal; seriously.

TIP #3: Now that you've written your fist "messy" draft - leave it alone for a day. Sleep on it. Come back to it the next day and start to clean it up. Keep your sentences short. Keep your thoughts concise. Try to not use too many commas. Instead use full-stops. Use simple English. No fancy intellectual words or technical phrases unless absolutely necessary.

Tip #4: Write from Your Heart. Writing from your heart is the best way for producing the greatest impact upon the reader and getting your best desired results. However, many writers have difficulty expressing themselves honestly when writing about themselves. For some reason, they feel that it makes them more vulnerable or somehow weak when the public knows how they truly feel. They are ashamed of bad thoughts or embarrassing actions they'd rather forget.
You must get past those feelings because it's honesty that can not only add verity to your writing but also endear you reader to you in a way that you can't achieve by faking it or leaving crucial information out of your most intimate descriptions. Learn to open your heart, especially in your first drafts – you can always cut things out later. It's important because you are adding something extra special to your writing.

Starting Over: Why Mondays Keep Happening

I have had a rough last several days. Bad news, trails, tribulations, and disagreement. So not my typical life! What keeps me sane is Monday. You might be thinking that sounds crazy, but Monday brings me peace. Why?

Because we are meant to start over. If we were not, there would not be so many Mondays! Even a day would be much longer than 24 hours! So I see a new week as a “do-over”. I get another chance to love more, laugh more, and live more! To start fresh, to move onward.

Thank God for Mondays!

Women Friends

I believe that women are fabulous, strong, amazing, loving, bold, and brilliant. Sometimes though I hear women calling each other names, talking horribly about other women behind their back, and the insults fly. We have such incredible power – and when used positively, it grows stronger in its power. We as women need to stick together and support one another.

When we chose to use it negatively against other women, we as women lose. Our friendships lose. Our children lose. Our world loses. I am not saying you have to love, or even like every woman you meet. But how about just plain ol’ respect for the power of being a woman? How about appreciate they we are not all alike? When we women stick together WE WILL RULE THE WORLD! Try today to not have a negative, mean, nasty thought about another woman– let alone even speak it to another woman. Think to yourself: “My insulting her is really an insult on me as a woman.”

I truly believe that the bad things we think and say about others is a reflection of how we feel about ourselves! It might only be occasionally, that day is probably an off day for you! My choice is to find women who want to have this positive power with each other - are you in?

I created this as an audio because sometimes it just feels better to HEAR it! This is truly why I developed Warrior Women, Wine and Wisdom!

I am woman – hear me roar!
Women have strengths that amaze men.
We carry children, we carry hardships, we carry burdens, but we hold happiness, love and joy.
Women smile when they want to scream.
Women sing when they want to cry.
Women cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
Women wait by the phone for a call from a friend after a long snowy drive home.
Women have special qualities about them.
We volunteer for good causes.
We are pink ladies at hospitals, we bring food to shut-ins.
We are childcare workers, executives, attorneys, stay-at-home-moms, biker-babes, and your neighbors.
Women wear suits, jeans, and uniforms.
Woman fight for what they believe in.
Women stand up for injustice.
Women are in the front row at PTA meetings.
Women vote for the person that will do the best job for family issues.
Women walk and talk the extra mile to get their children in the right schools and for getting their family the right health care.
Women search for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
Women stick love notes in their husband’s and children’s lunch box.
Women do without new shoes so their children can have them.
We go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
We love unconditionally.
Women are honest, loyal, and forgiving.
We are smart, knowing that knowledge is power, yet we still know how to use our softer side in order to make a point. Women want to be the best for their family, their friends and themselves.
Women cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards. We are happy when we hear about a birth or marriage.
Our hearts break when a friend dies.
We have sorrow at the loss of a family member, yet we are strong when we think there is no strength left.
A woman’s touch can cure any ailment.
Women know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women can make a romantic evening unforgettable. Women come in all sizes, colors, and shapes.
Women live in homes, apartments, and cabins. And we drive, fly, walk run, or email you to show you how much we care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin!
Women do more than just give birth.
We bring joy and hope.
We give compassion and ideals.
We give moral support to our family and friends.
And all we want back is a hug and a smile, and for you to do the same to people you come in contact with.
Women have a lot to say and a lot to give.
You are woman.
So live, laugh, love…and let them hear you roar!
